Technology Director

| 247 Media [March '03 to July '05]

247 Media produced America 24/7 the largest collaborative photographic book project in history, bringing together the work of more than 7,000 photographers who photographed life in America between May 12th and May 18th 2003. As Technology Director I was responsible for designing and implementing all software, hardware and network infrastructure, databases, and workflow processes required to collect, catalogue and edit more than 200,000 digital images leading to the production of the NY Times Bestseller America 24/7 and the subsequent 50 state books slated for publication in September 2004.

Director, Intranet Group | CNET Networks [May '99 to May '03]

Identified the need for a professionally managed corporate intranet and gained management support to create the group. Responsible for all aspects of corporate intranet development,including internal corporate communications strategy. Also directly responsible for the information architecture, interaction design and user interface of the websites and web-based applications. Developed and supervise a team of content managers, Java/JSP applications programmers, HTML producers, MS SQL database administrators and a rich media assets manager.

Information Architecture projects included: Intranet Front Door, Site Ontology, Human Resources Information Portal, Sales and Marketing Portal, IT Self Help pages, and Corporate Training.

Other responsibilities included the Continuing Education Program, development of the photo publishing processes for Snap! Online and the requirements development, evaluation, acquisition and deployment of rich media database.
