No one in my family knows that I'm gay, although I'm sure they must have their suspicions by now. But why bring the issue up? My parents are both old, and not in particularly good health. I'm sure if I brought the subject up, it would just result in... well... a kind of moral trauma for everyone.
I live with my parents, but it's not as difficult as one might think. And even if it were, what could I do? They need me with them right now, and it is important to me to look after them, to make sure that they are well-cared for. There will come a time when that's not necessary anymore, and then I can worry about living for myself.
